How to Prepare for your first visit:

Our office is open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 2:30 pm on Friday.  Your physician may contact our office to request a consultation: (517) 827-1800 or use the contact us form on this website.

At LNS, we offer a team approach to your healthcare.  This means that you will interact with several team members including office staff, medical assistants, and nurses, in addition to your neurosurgeon.  Our medical experts will ask you about your medical history and your symptoms.  Our staff will perform a neurological examination and your physician will review your diagnostic studies, such as x-rays, CT or MRI scans.  Please make sure you bring all films with you to your appointment, including MRI, angiogram and x-rays.  Your physician will need to examine the actual films in order to make a diagnosis.  If you do not bring your films, we may need to reschedule your appointment.

If additional tests are required, we will schedule those after your first visit to our office.  You may be asked to return for another appointment to meet with a surgeon, physical medicine and rehabilitation physician or another member of our team.

At Lansing Neurosurgery, we actively involve you in all decisions regarding your treatment and care.  When we discuss options for your situation, we will take the time to answer any questions you may have and assist you in making the best decision for your health and your life.  Treatment options may include:

  • Exercise and conditioning programs
  • Physical Therapy
  • Medication
  • Interventional pain management procedures
  • Minimally invasive surgery
  • Spinal Fusion
  • Reconstructive Spinal Surgery

Prior to your appointment we verify your insurance coverage and identify any office visit co-pay attached to your plan.  We will submit a claim to your insurance for any covered service.  You are responsible for paying any charges that are not covered by your insurance, as well as your copay, at the time of service.  For your convenience we accept major credit cards.

We also assist in obtaining the pre-certification that your insurance plan may require for surgery, diagnostic testing, or second opinions.  We accept most insurance plans and will be happy to answer any questions about your specific plan prior to your appointment.
